Practice at Home:

A lot of students tell me they'd like to practice at home, but aren't sure how to start or whether they will remember the postures. The Surya Namaskar (Sun Salute) sequence is a great place to start because it can be a complete practice if you only have a short time or is a full body warm up for a longer practice.

8 Surprising Benefits of Yoga you may not Know
If you come to my classes I hope you're not too surprised by these benefits...

Pelvic Floor Health and more
A 10 minute interview with physiotherapist and amateur stand up comedian Elaine Miller from Woman's Hour last year.
Not the easiest topic of conversation for many of us, but as Elaine says when it comes to stand up comedy you can talk about just about anything.
And this one is important not just for yoga but for our everyday health and wellbeing. The statistics are frightening - 1 in 3 women and 1 in 9 men suffer from some form of incontinence (yes, men have pelvic floors too and need to look after them just as much as women too.)
So take 10 minutes to listen to this interview and get practicing.

We regularly have runners in class and whether running is an essential part of your week or whether you're a "once-in-a-while I get our for a run" person this is a great article. Take special note of tips 3, 4 and 7 - instead of strength training and a foam roller why not try a yoga class and for the massage don't forget I give Thai yoga massages too.

4 Exercises for Sciatica Pain Relief
Here's a simple explanation of one of the frequent causes of sciatica and 4 simple exercises to help relieve the pain. If you come to my yoga classes you'll recognise the first 3, if I turn up with some tennis balls, you'll know we're going to try the 4th!
